Getting the most out of MyLot.com

MyLot.com is one of my favorite sites online. How much you earn each day is reflected up your own efforts. I have been slacking somewhat on my posts, but am starting to get back in the groove again.

Since MyLot is a great site, I would recommend it to even the most novice of users. I have noticed that new users always posts questions about what certain things mean, or if it's a legit site, or how you get paid. I would like to take a few minutes and explain how everything works. For both a better understanding for you and I.

Starting out your mylot referral link after you sign up is on bottom of the left hand size column. It should look something like this:

http://www.mylot.com/?ref=luckycharm00812

Whatever you choose your screen name to be, it will be that (luckycharm00812 is my screen name).

To be more efficient in your mylot posts you must know the DO's and DON'Ts of posting new discussions, and responding to discussions. (Remember, all of the information I am giving is on the mylot site. I am just putting it all in spot, and easy to find). The most important items on the list will be in bold.

DO's
* Please take any warnings you get from the mylot staff seriously.
* Help us out to report trolls, flame wars, and troublemakers by sending an abuse report to mylot.
* Help out when you can. The mylot staff tries to monitor the site constantly, but we also need your eyes and ears to catch problems when they arise and report abusive behavior.
* Be sure to rate users' discussions, responses, comments, and photos for the new mylot reputation system. The mylot repuation rating decided by mylot users.
* Make sure you search for existing topics before starting new discussions.
* Please make sure you give your best effort to respond with quality responses. If you don't know how to respond to a discussion, go on to the next one. Answers like "I don't know" or "I don't care" don't help anyone and will be removed.
* Make sure to post useful links in discussions when necessary to provide authoritative guidance or to refer to a third party article.
* Please use mylot messages to chat back and forth with your mylot friends. Make plans for the weekend, schedule a time to meet for fun, or just talk about what happened today at work. If you woul like to know more aout a certain mylot member, request them as a friend.
Note by me: You must add the person you want to chat with as a friend before you are able to send them a private message or PM.
*Make sure you ask for clarifications in discussion topics or response when necessary or help other users to get their point across if they are not able. We like to think of ourselves as one big happy family.
* Feel free to contact us if you would like to advertise on mylot.
* Post in English, unfortunately the staff at mylot in not bilingual.
* Please let the mylot staff know if you are haing any issues, by sending us a private message.
* Feel free to express your happiness with the mylot community. We love hearing how much you like mylot.

So far so good right? Most of the items listed here are common sense things, but some of the things are really helpful in posting on mylot. Now for the Don'ts.

DON'Ts
* Create more than one mylot account person. Creating multiple accounts is grounds for immediate account cancellation and forfeiture of all earnings.
* Share paypal or moneybookers accounts. Please use only one paypal or money bookers accout per mylot account.
* Post comments in threads for the purpose of drawing attention t another to anothe thread on a different subject.
* Make multiple posts on the same subject for the purpose of getting attention paid to your issue.
* Post the same response to different discussions even if the discussions even if the discussions are related or similar. This type of activit will more than likely harm your reputation rating.
* Post copyrighted articles or photos please link tothem. Don't post copyrihted photos at all.
* Respond to a discussion until you've read all of the response.
* Post "Me too!" messages; add something of substance to the conversation.
* Start a new discussion unless you have something of substance to say.
* Start discussions asking for one word answers like "yes or no".
* Thank everyone that respond or comments on your discussion. This will not increase yours earnings.
* Start meaningless discussion or give meaningless responss to try and boost your rating. Discussions like "what's your age" wll be deleted as well as short responses like "ok" or "no".
* Post jokes, recipes, etc. as discussions. This is a form of abuse and all recipes will be deleted if they are started as a discussion.
* Start game and poll type discussions. For example, discussions like "how old are you" or "let's see how high we can count, i'll start with one".
* Post any links promoting other affiliate programs or that do not pertain to the discussion. Posting the same link over and over or posting links that have no relevance to the discussion is not allowed.
* Post discussions directed at one person such as "user1 what did you do today" or "user2 where are you?"
* Post discussions soliciting a response for a response for example "+" rating for a response. These are against terms and will be deleted.
* Post to "flame" other users. Being mean to others is just not fun. Anything derogatory that is directed at a mylot user is strictly prohibited. Just be nice and have fun.
* Request donations, post charity requests, petitions or signatures, chain letters or letters relating to pyramid schemes, advertising or solicitations for funds, or mass mailings.
* Post for commercial or advertising purposes, including classified ads in the discussion area.
* Post anything that discloses your personal information or other's personal information. We do not disclose it to anyone for good reason.
* Post similar or identical postings. Stealing posts from other users or posting the same thing over and over again will not help your mylot earnings. Multiple identical postings, even if legitimate, may be considered spam.
* Post symbols or languages other than English unless you are asking how to translate a word or phrase.
* Start discussions on individual issues you are having with myLot. Please contact myLot via private messages and your issue will be addressed.
* Post discussions, responses or comments criticizing members for bad/broken English or bad spelling. Everyone is welcome at myLot, we have users from all around the world and they are welcome regardless of their proficiency with the English Language.
* Use all-caps or excessive punctuation.
* Post anything that inaccurately explains the myLot earnings algorithm. Our myLot mathematicians have worked long and hard on our elaborate payment system and we wouldn’t want any of our users to make them feel inadequate by breaking their algorithm in minutes.

There is also a list of photo do's and dont's listed here. For the sake of not becoming boring, if you are interested in posting photos, you may check it out on your own.

Mylot does not reveal how they figure up each persons daily earnings. Your earnings are updated daily. The minimum payout is 10.00$ and you can opt to wait until you have as much as 100.00$ for them to pay you. You set this option up in the edit your preferences section, and click payment information.

To Be Continued..

hi. i registered in MyLot. I've been reading, trying to find out how one earns by posting comments/discussions. I can't find it (or just haven't found it yet). ;)

Would just want to ask how much do you earn if you post comments or open a topic in MyLot? and how much do your earn if you refer?

Thanks. ;)
